After some research into the family crests, I provided the client with three concept sketches.
The piece was to include the family names at the top “Rowe/Mollison” and a combined quote of both family mottos “Innocens Non Timidus Fax Mentis Honestae Gloria” (“From whence we came, Glory is the torch that leads on the honorable mind).

From there, the client picked their favourite concept and the final design was drawn up digitally. I considered a few colour schemes, then after the client’s feedback, I finalised the design with more detail and shading.
